Simon Swipe and My Monopoly Are Perfect For Family Game Night

Hasbro creates updated fun for classic favorite games with Simon Swipe and My Monopoly

What better way to creating some fun family game night memories than introducing some classic games that you grew up with into the mix? Who doesn’t remember Simon and Monopoly? Hasbro has taken the classic games and given both a fun new twist that make them worth adding to your family game night arsenal.

Think back to being a kid and playing with Simon. The bee-boop-bee-bee sounds and trying to match those light-up color patterns. Well those bee-boop-bee-bee sounds and lights have been re-packaged in a 2014 way with Simon Swipe, a fun new twist on the classic game.

The Little Made Man had been seeing the commercials on t.v. for Simon Swipe and was dying to play. When Hasbro surprisingly offered to send us one of the new Simon Swipe games to test, he was so excited, he wouldn’t let me take it out of the box. He wanted to play with it THAT second.

The new game didn’t disappoint. He sat on the couch feveriously trying to get the patterns, and he didn’t get bored with it at all. While the game says it’s for ages 8 years and up, my 5 year old Little Made Man had no problems with it. Simon Swipe actually has four different game modes, so if you want some “old-school” Simon action, no problem!

The new My Monopoly is the perfect answer to what to buy for the person that has everything.

The cool thing about My Monopoly is, it’s the same Monopoly classic game that everyone knows, but it comes with personalizeable photo stickers that you print at home and add to to playing pieces and game board tiles. There’s also a My Monopoly app that you can use to customize your game. It’s an awesome unique gift- I think absolutely perfect for anniversary, new baby, Christmas, grandparent presents. As a matter of fact, according to US Weekly, Kim Kardashian gave Kayne West a customized My Monopoly game as a birthday present, replacing “Park Place” with the Palace of Versailles, where the couple held their rehearsal celebration prior to their wedding.
