Meal Time Fun With Mickey Mouse

I’m constantly trying to find new ways to find ways to spend “Mommy Time” with my mom friends, but it’s always a challenge to make schedules work. So when I told one of my favorite Mafia Moms, Nicole, that I wanted to bring Blue Apron to her house for a “Mom’s Night In” with the kids, she was up for it. I’ve never tried Blue Apron, but have always wanted to, but to be perfectly honest, I was still a little intimidated by it. So it made perfect sense to share the experience with a friend. 

Now with my 7 yr old, and her 5 and 1 1/2 year olds, the idea of us being able to make a meal while having the three kids there seemed a little unrealistic. Would we actually be able to cook a meal while we had 3 little ones running around? Luckily, my friends over at Disney Baby and The First Years sent over this adorable Mickey Mouse Helping Hands Feeding & Activity Seat, Mickey Mouse Sippy Cup & The First Years Disney Baby Mickey Mouse 4-Piece Feeding Set:

5 yr old Sloan couldn’t wait to get the Mickey Mouse Helping Hands Feeding Seat out of the box and set up for her little brother. It was SO adorable. I couldn’t get the plastic wrap off fast enough for her. She wanted it all set up perfectly for her little brother. 

While the kiddos played with the seat, we started prepping our meal. It was pretty amazing how the Blue Apron box had everything in it for our night’s dinner (Shrimp Broil) with a step by step pictured recipe card. (Our Blue Apron experiment basically took over the kitchen.) 

The kids were too busy to notice our mess. They were more concerned about the toys on the feeding seat. 

 

Ah ha! At last, our Blue Apron meal was ready. (We made a separate dinner for the kiddos, not sure if they would like the Shrimp Broil seasoning.) We were pretty impressed with our results though, isn’t it pretty?:
