And I Said OK! (But ONLY If They Would Give Away A Year’s Worth Of Angel Soft to a Mafia Mommy!)
The longer I’m in this blogging world, the “Mommy Blogger” world in particular, I’m blown away by the fact that my little piece of the blogosphere can even tread water in the same currents as some of these other big blog fish. I’ve been lucky to meet and be inspired by some of these “big blog” fishes by attending a few blogging conferences. Yes, there are entire conferences aimed at bloggers. Specifically catering to the blog world, these conferences aim to bring bloggers together. The Mac-Mommy of all blogging conferences is BlogHer. BlogHer is a blogging conference that hosts over two thousand bloggers (mostly female, but there are quite a few men as well) from around the globe. Bloggers take every type of fascinating form: Mommy Bloggers, Health Bloggers, Pet Bloggers, Food Bloggers, and Straight-Bloggers-With-A-Transexual-Husband-and-A Second-Gay-Husband-and-I-Think-I’m-Ready-To-Get-Pregnant Bloggers too.) Besides attracting some of the coolest headlining speakers, it also attracts the who’s-who of name brands vying for blogger relationships. Speaking of the who’s who in name brands, knowing that Angel Soft was going to be representing at BlogHer14 in San Jose, I was super excited to meet the people behind hashtag campaigns as witty as #SheetHappens and #SheetOutOfLuck. Come on. Toilet paper? Witty? Angel Soft’s “Let’s not take ourselves too seriously” video campaigns are just plain genius. And they were very clear from the get-go: they wanted to meet bloggers as well.
I was focused on getting my foot in the door of that exhibit hall the minute that it opened. So of course, first on the list: Angel Soft. With my #BFF blogger buddies in tow – MamasMission, DiaryOfAWorkingMom, RunStrollerRun, Linkouture and GiddyGoCowgirl – we made our way to booth #201 to find out more about this #SheetHappens stuff and find out ways to avoid it. We actually had a great time just hanging out at the booth, taking pictures at their photo booth and sharing our #SheetHappens moments while being interviewed on a toilet. Yes, I said I was interviewed while I was sitting on a toilet. Listen, it might not be Diane Sawyer, but hey, all in the name of the Mafia, right?
But gosh we had fun. But who says the fun had to end at BlogHer? The fine folks over at Angel Soft Toilet Tissue want to giveaway a YEAR’s Worth of Angel Soft’s New 60% more sheets per roll tissue to one lucky Mommy Mafia reader! Woo!
