Meet YouTube and Television Comedian Stephanie Blum
There’s an e-card out there that says something along the lines of,
“I look at all these Pinterest Perfect Mommies out there making their own soap, and animal-shaped treats, and I’m all like, ‘I took a shower and kept the kids alive.'”
It makes me laugh every time I see it. I mean, isn’t that what motherhood feels like sometimes? Like it just takes SO MUCH to be a mom? So much work, so much patience, so much everything. Some days, it just feels impossible. If you get really lucky, you’ll be at the peak of those crazed, exhausted moments, when a miracle happens. The heavens open up and angels start singing and you find someone who just gets it. Someone who knows Mom Life as it really is and can help you take a step back and laugh at it with you. Stephanie Blum wants to laugh with you. She gets it. Stephanie Blum knows that MOMS RULE. She’s a mom herself (of three!) and she’s also a a former school psychologist. Now a stand-up comedian, Stephanie Blum has her own hilarious YouTube channel, called MOMS RULE, based on the insane-ness of motherhood. I knew I had a connection to Stephanie Blum when I was reading on her blog a post titled, “10 Things Nobody Told Me About Pregnancy.” She nails it with these gems:
“Nobody told me that my areolas would grow to the size of helicopter landing pads.”
“Nobody told me that morning sickness is really “morning, noon and night sickness.”
“Nobody told me that my belly would get so big, I could no longer see my privates.”

So now I officially love me some Stephanie Blum, but I’m not the only one. Producers from the TLC television channel signed her to be in a new TLC comedy series called WHAT SHE SAID. It premiers during TLC’s “Mother Of All Weeks” leading up to Mother’s Day. The sneak peek will air on Sunday May 10th at 11pm ET/10pm CT on TLC.
