Our Furry Sock Thief

You see that big black dog in the picture there? Yeah sure she looks innocent enough, but the reality is that she’s a big time sock stealer. That big girl loves her some socks. White socks, black socks, clean socks, dirty socks. She’s a thief. She’s our family Furry Sock Thief. Now we have three dogs. But it’s the biggest one, Shorty, who is our sock thief. Shorty was a rescue and she is obsessed with my husband. Not in a small way. She simply can’t control herself when he’s around. She follows him everywhere he goes. The truth is, he was the one that rescued her, and she knows it. After only a week at our home from the pound, she ended up getting very, very sick. Almost dying on us. My husband spoon-fed her daily for two weeks to save her, because she was so sick she couldn’t eat on her own. Two years later, she’s the biggest pain in the a** (in my opinion) in the family, but we love her. Who knows what she’s a mix of, but what I DO know that her hair gets everywhere. It’s absolutely  insane the amount of pet hair that one dog can shed.

The Pet Hair Battle

So it always seems to a conststant battle between me and Shorty’s hair. I combat the hair the best I can. But seriously- It’s. Every. Where. Besides being a very skillful sock stealer, she likes to do stuff she knows she’s not supposed to do. She likes to jump on our bed when we’re not home, she loves sleeping on the couch. She’s smart enough to know not to do it when we are around, so it’s really hard to catch her. But that doesn’t help get the pet hair off everything.
