Ready or not, back to school is around the corner. And that means all the back to school shopping that’s got to get done. Back packs, new school clothes, new shoes and school supplies.

Recently, I was invited by Dolphin Mall Miami to spend a day back to school shopping, eating, and exploring with a few special local South Florida and Miami Mommy Bloggers.  I forgot how big that place is, and how they have just about something for everybody! Besides the great shopping, there are great family friendly restaurants and experiences for the entire family.

Yes, I told myself that I would pick up the Little Made Man some new shoes for back to school since the ones in his current rotation were looking a little raggedy, and he was also short a pair since we lost one left shoe either at summer camp or at Grandma California’s house. So how exactly I wound up shopping for myself instead is still a mystery. (Oops.) Oooh, that Bloomingdale’s Outlet is dangerous. Check out these goodies:

And if you take the kiddos with you, take a shopping break and head over to Cool de Sac for lunch. (Side note: It was a very sad day for me when I found out that Cool De Sac closed at Sunset Place. Imagine how happy I was to see Michael, the former waiter from Cool De Sac Sunset Place to be my waiter at Dolphin Mall!) The food there is great, they have kid food options besides chicken nuggets, the kids love playing dress up, climbing the indoor gym, painting and playing at the Lego station. And hello! They serve wine (no, not to the kids!)

Maybe your kids are just a little too old for Cool de Sac? Then what about Dave and Buster’s?

Maybe you can convince the husband to do a little back to school shopping with you and end the evening with a date night movie at Cine Bistro?
