Miami’s first and only Vodka Ice Bar and Cocktail Fire Lounge Opens in South Beach

Ice may not be the first thing that comes to your mind when you think South Beach, but Drinkhouse Fire & Ice: Ice bar and Fire Lounge wants to change that. Owners Sally Drinkhouse and Nicole Prichett conceived the idea of a distinctive and different mixology-focused lounge for those seeking an unforgettable night in South Beach.

Mommy Mafia and fellow Miami blogger MamasMission were given the royal frozen treatment to explore and experience everything Drinkhouse Fire & Ice has to offer, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing.

We started with a smokey glass, for our cocktail made with High West Whiskey over an oversized ice cube.

Then we moved on to liquor-infused popsicles: On the left strawberry/champagne with champagne being poured over it. On the right, a mango and tequila popsicle with Ancho Reyes ancho chili-tequila liqueur poured over it. This was hands-down my favorite! Amazing!

As we entered the ice bar, it was hard to get over just how “cool” this place was. Fire & Ice’s intoxicating 23-degree Ice Vodka Bar, is comprised of 100,000 pounds of ice embedded with genuine crystals and surrounding you are ice sculptures by award-winning master ice sculptor David Berman. The intriguing space, into which went months of detailed carving work, offers a unique experience for all ages (kids allowed in before 7 p.m. with an adult.) Your drink will even be served to you in your own ice cup. Before entering, guests are given plush faux fur coats, gloves and lined slippers to keep them warm.
