For a Miamian who doesn’t ski (me) I’ve actually been to quite a few ski resorts. Our latest trip for the long weekend was to Breckenridge, Colorado and we stayed for the first time at One Ski Hill Place. We loved it. The location was everything. While there are plenty of ski in/ski-out resorts, it doesn’t get much better than being right at the base of the lifts. One Ski Hill Place is literally at the base of Peak 8.
We got really lucky with the snow and it basically didn’t stop snowing the whole weekend, which was great for my skiing boys, but also meant that I was not so excited to go down to the town for shopping and roaming around. It meant that I got to spend plenty of quality time inside the resort. I didn’t mind at all though, because the resort was perfect. One Ski Hill Place will definitely be on our short list of places to return to.

As a Florida gal myself I would be in cold weather heaven for an opportunity to visit one of the northern states. I’m extremely sensitive to the heat so Florida is not the ideal place for me but any time I’ve been able to vacation in a snowy location I’ve been so content. Breckenridge must have been beautiful blanketed in all that snow. The pictures of your room were also quite lovely. What an experience it must have been to spend a weekend there.
