This weekend, I was able to attend Cirque Italia, the first traveling Water Circus. Getting there was simple, it’s temporary location is right off of US1 in North Miami. The impressive tent was not too big, and every seat had a good view of the stage.
It started off typical enough for what you would expect of a circus – don’t worry, no animals though! But then, the stage lifts up into the air to reveal the magic underneath it, fountains of water below the stage and fountains of water coming from the top of tent set to the music. It was hard to capture in a picture, but it was beautiful.
There were acts of all kinds that had my Little Made Man mesmerized. There were acrobats, and a tight rope walker. There was a man that defied the rules of gravity, there were women high in the air with no net underneath, eeek!
The children in the audience were amazed. This is a perfect show for kids of all ages. By the way, speaking of kids, Cirque Italia offers one FREE child admission with every full priced paying adult ticket! (Details below.)
One word to the wise, make sure to bring cash. The concession stand doesn’t take credit cards.
